The Western Health and Social Care Trust have been using Visconn for video conferencing services for many years. This new platform is another major step-change in how we can conduct our business and we are already realising significant benefits from it both internally and through communications with our patients/ clients. We are currently only scratching the surface of the full potential of this.

In selecting clinical video conferencing it is important to find a reliable supplier as this critical application is not about providing boxes. Integrating the systems into a usable installation that meets the strict requirements of a clinical application is vital. Xuper have done this as well as provided on-going support and ensuring all those involved in the service are properly trained. There is no doubt that clinical video conferencing is making a major contribution to delivering a neurology service throughout Northern Ireland. Since its introduction we have dealt with around 1000 acute admissions, seen 800 people with epilepsy, 500 outpatients and 100 review patients.
